Céline FLÉCHEUX
After studying both Philosophy and Art History, I tought seven years in the National Art School of Nancy (France) until I got my actual position, maître de conférences in Paris 7 – Denis Diderot, in Julia Kristeva’s departement, where I am in charge of the visual arts section (UFR LAC, Lettres, Arts, Cinéma).
For my PhD, I studied how the notion of the horizon became an artistic problem from the Renaissance to the modern times and how phenomenology (Husserl, Heidegger) considered that notion as well in philosophy of perception and knowledge. This important work is now published at the Presses universitaires de Rennes (L’horizon, des traités de perspective au Land Art, 2009). My research implies practice and theory of perspective, problems of reproduction in images and modern and contemporary art.
